I recently read two surveys on Vetstreet, an online veterinary resource for news. They had one survey listing the 10 best breeds that are good to go running with, and one for the top 10 breeds considered couch potatoes. Now I know that top 10 lists are arbitrary, based on opinions , and there are a whole host of mixed breeds that are simply missed in this type of “scientific” “study”. You will see that there are many small dog breeds on the couch potato list. The list makers sure weren’t around the other day when I was hunted down for a half mile by the spryest, most determined dachshund I have ever encountered. The way I figure it is, once he broke through his electric fence, why not go for the gold: my ankles!
