I stumbled into a dollar store near me recently. It was said to be “the best dollar store around” by those in the know. They may have been right. Did you even know that you could purchase urine drug tests $1.00? Well, by golly, you can.
In efforts to stay on topic of dog and cat dollar store finds, I found my way, naturally, into the pet aisle. What I found was interesting. There are several options for the frugal pet lover.
These cat litter pan liners are perfectly valid purchases, recommended with GUSTO on my part. And for a dollar!
Here is another example of what is a truly great deal, which I would, in fact, highly recommend.
Plastic is plastic, so if you can find some sufficiently thick enough to shield you from your collected “waste”, then buy them there.
But then I came upon the “munch bones”. I will say this. There are many dogs that will partake of said treat and be perfectly fine with it, in terms of their digestive state. I do just want to point out that these were made in China. Not a big fan nor proponent of treats from China. Just saying…
Here is where I draw the line. You should not be purchasing your flea and tick preventatives in the dollar store. For a dollar. Just don’t.
And then there’s this. A permethrin, worth every penny. Actually worth less than a penny in my estimation. Plenty of safer, newer products available for your dog or cat that I would recommend. You won’t find them at the dollar store though. Please refrain from buying these products.
Lastly, there is the simply fabulous pet clothing aisle. What a steal for just the right, 10-12 lb biker dog.
